During 2011-2012, we supplied and commissioned a great number of gamma and neutron area monitors at the JRC premises.

This was also the first time that our LUPIN neutron detector was brought to life!

Project start-end date:

2011 - 2012

Project description:

Supply and installation of gamma and neutron area monitoring detectors in various locations of the Joint Research Center in Ispra

The JRC Ispra Site is the third biggest Commission site after Brussels and Luxembourg.

After more than 50 years of development, Ispra is firmly established as one of Europe's leading research campuses.

For this project, ELSE NUCLEAR supplied and installed gamma and neutron monitors meant to be fully integrated with JRC’s safety systems. Overall, we supplied and put in operation 65 gamma and 8 neutron detectors, namely the ELSE NUCLEAR MERCURY GMP WR Geiger Muller based gamma detectors and the ELSE NUCLEAR LUPIN 5401 BF3-NP neutron rem counters for pulsed fields.
