Gamma spectroscopy unit GSU

ELSE NUCLEAR's product portfolio includes the GSU series of gamma spectroscopy units, which are designed to analyse melting and casting samples, as well as any other liquid or solid material in Marinelli geometry.

The employed detector is a 3” NaI(Tl) scintillator, coupled to a state-of-the-art multi-channel electronics and mounted inside a shielding lead well. Both the system and the produced results are managed from a remote computer through the included proprietary software.

The GSU systems allow the operator to easily identify the radionuclides contained inside the sample being scanned, thanks to the 3 regions of interest (ROI) that can be defined through the analysis software. The activity concentration of each detected radionuclide is then accurately and reliably quantified.

ELSE NUCLEAR’s GSU systems have been already installed in several facilities, wherever the customers need to perform a spectrometric analysis of casting/melting samples, air particulate filters, metal samples, geological samples or food samples.

Additional versatility is provided to GSU systems by the materials supports, which are designed and realised by ELSE NUCLEAR to meet each specific requirement.
